Brown, Brown and Brown is one of the southeast’s oldest law firms. J. M. Brown, the founding member of the firm, began practice in 1878. He was joined by his son, R. Lane Brown, Sr. in 1908. Richard L. Brown, Jr. continued in the family tradition, beginning his practice with the firm in 1931. In 1966, Charles P. Brown joined his father in practice and has engaged in active practice since 1966.
Connie E. Josey joined the firm in 2004, and James L. Senter joined in 2007.
Brown, Brown and Brown engages in active practice in both civil and criminal litigation, in residential and commercial real estate, in business and in estate planning and administration.
Our skilled staff, Vivian Turner, Crystal Layton and Jan Blanton, help us provide quality service for our clients.
Beyond engaging in the active practice of law, members of the firm are also involved in local, state and national bar organizations and associations. Additionally, members of the firm participate actively in church, civic and educational organizations.
The firm maintains its primary office in downtown Albemarle, conveniently located near the Stanly County courthouse at the corner of Main and Second streets. The Albemarle office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The firm’s satellite office in Locust is open weekdays by appointment.
