Connie graduated magna cum laude in 2000 from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a minor in Accounting. She attended the University of North Carolina School of Law on a full tuition merit-based scholarship, and graduated with her J.D. in 2003. During law school, she was Executive Editor of the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal, coordinator of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance group, a volunteer with the Pro Bono Program, and an active member of the Environmental Law Project. Following law school, Connie served as clerk to the Honorable Sanford L. Steelman, Jr., at the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Connie joined our firm in 2004. She focuses her practice on real estate and serves as city attorney for the City of Locust.
Connie currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Stanly Community Christian Ministry, and President of Board of Directors for Sundays at Three. In the past, she has served on the Board of Directors for Hospice of Stanly County and the John Murray Community Care Clinic, and she is a past officer of the Stanly County Bar and the 20th Judicial District.
Connie was raised in the Aquadale Community in southern Stanly County and she graduated from Albemarle High School. Connie resides in Albemarle with her partner, Jeff Mosher, and her son, Hunter Josey. Their family enjoys being outdoors together, especially sailing, gardening, hiking and rock climbing, and participating in activities with BSA Troop 191 where Hunter currently has the rank of Star Scout.
